Weaving the Threads of Change

Our lives are woven from countless threads of relationships, experiences, emotions, and patterns. Therapy offers a place to get curious about how they’ve come together, and a little room to see things differently.

Together, we can look at both what’s bringing you in right now and the deeper patterns influencing how you live, relate, and make meaning. My work is informed by specialized training in crisis intervention, treating trauma, work-related burnout, eating disorders, and substance abuse. Understanding that the ways we cope often make sense in the context of what we’ve lived through. Because we humans are wonderfully adaptive, but we’re also remarkably good at holding onto patterns long after they’ve stopped serving us.

Integrative & Systems-Informed Methodology
My approach is integrative and systems-informed, meaning we look not only at what is happening inside of you, but also at the larger contexts surrounding you, because we exist inside ourselves and in the systems that effect us.
Â
Together, we work toward meaningful, sustainable change with curiosity, compassion, and respect for the ways we adapt to what we’ve lived through, and our capacity to heal, grow, and find new ways forward.

Threads we explore
Systemic Perspective
Understanding how family dynamics, cultural background, life experiences, and broader social systems become woven into the way you see yourself, relate to others, and navigate the world. (Turns out none of us arrived here as completely unbiased, emotionally self-regulating blank slates.)
Somatic Awareness
Learning to listen to the body’s signals and nervous system responses, not because your shoulders secretly hold all the answers, but because the body often notices things before the mind catches up.
Relational Framework
Exploring patterns of attachment, connection, and communication to help create relationships that feel more secure, authentic, and sustaining, and a little less like repeating the same argument in different clothing.

Weaving Experience Into Healing
My path into psychology has been shaped by a curiosity about how people heal, grow, and make meaning from the many threads of their lives. I earned my PsyD in Clinical Psychology from Meridian University, where my training blended relational, depth-oriented, and archetypal approaches. I then completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco, focusing on mindfulness-based interventions and supporting healthcare professionals through evidence-based practice. Earlier, while earning my master's degree at Harvard University, I developed a mindfulness-based program to support essential workers during the COVID-19 pandemic and gained a deeper appreciation for systems thinking and positive psychology.

My work draws from the contemporary, evidence-based ,and historical. Using the cross sections of mindfulness, depth work, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and contemporary relational therapy to help people navigate trauma, life transitions, relationships, identity, and the beautifully complicated experience of being human. I believe therapy works best when people feel genuinely seen, not reduced to a diagnosis, a coping strategy, or the hardest chapter of their lives.

She doesn’t just help you process emotions—she helps you see yourself and your patterns in a completely new way. Sabina has a rare ability to hold space with deep empathy while challenging you to think differently. She works with a wide range of issues, from trauma to self-discovery, always with an insightful, compassionate presence. Her guidance is not just about healing—it’s about growth, about understanding yourself on a level you didn’t know was possible.
